About Me

Hi there. I’m Gerry.

I’ve been a documentary photographer for 15 years. Most of my career was spent as a newspaper photojournalist, working my way up from a little paper in northeast Texas to The Dallas Morning News, a large, award-winning publication where I spent nearly a decade.

In that time I covered just about everything — news, features and sports, from high schools up to the pros. It was a wonderful career that took me all over this country and around the world meeting new people and experiencing new things.

Along the way I’ve also maintained a business helping clients visually document their wedding day. That too has been a wonderful experience. As with journalism, getting to meet new people and experience new things has been humbling and gratifying.

In late 2016 I shifted gears a little and left journalism to work for a non profit in Connecticut. With the new location comes the opportunity to ply my trade as a documentary wedding photographer here in New England.

My approach remains the same: your wedding day is going to be one of the greatest stories you get to tell. I’ve been a visual storyteller my whole adult life, and I would love nothing more than to help you all document yours.

Please take a look at my work and get a feel for my style. I tend to favor genuine, candid moments rather than staged, stylized portraits. If it’s the documentary “look” you want, then I’m your guy.

Thanks for your time. For questions about what I charge, see the investment link (at left) or just email me for a pricing sheet.

Other questions? Email or call. I look forward to chatting with you more about how I can help.
